Discover if sleep apnoea or another sleep disorder is affecting your health — without leaving your own bed.

If you’re waking up tired, snoring heavily, or feeling exhausted during the day, you may have obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) or another sleep disorder. The best way to know for sure is with a Level 2 Home-Based Sleep Study — a comprehensive sleep apnoea test you can do at home.

At Place of Dreams, we provide hospital-grade sleep testing in the comfort of your own home, trusted by GPs and specialists across Mandurah, Murdoch, Perth and Joondalup.

Why Choose a Home Sleep Apnoea Test?

  • Comfort at home – No need to spend the night in a sleep lab or hospital.
  • Gold-standard accuracy – Level 2 studies collect detailed data, including brain waves, oxygen levels, heart rhythm, and breathing patterns.
  • Faster results – Avoid long public hospital waiting lists with prompt testing and quick reporting.
  • Sleep physician reviewed – All studies are scored by experienced sleep scientists and interpreted by accredited sleep and respiratory specialists.
  • Affordable testing in WA – Get hospital-level insights at a lower cost than an in-lab study.

Who Should Get a Sleep Study?

Consider a home-based sleep study if you have:

  • Loud or chronic snoring
  • Daytime sleepiness or poor concentration
  • Waking up choking, gasping, or unrefreshed
  • Morning headaches
  • High blood pressure or heart disease
  • Unexplained fatigue or low energy
  • Frequent unexplained nighttime urination

If these symptoms sound familiar, a Level 2 home sleep study in Mandurah, Murdoch, Perth or Joondalup could give you the answers you need.

How It Works

  • 45-minute setup appointment
(typically late afternoon): We fit the equipment.
  • Overnight monitoring in your home.
  • Next-morning return: Bring back the device.

If returning the next day isn’t possible, we'll find a suitable plan with you at booking.

Eligibility & Referral

To qualify for a Medicare rebate, you need:

  • A GP or Specialist referral, and
  • Completion of two simple screening questionnaires (available on our referral form).

These questionnaires are on our referral form  and can be completed with your GP.

If you do not meet the specific criteria, you will require a consultation with a sleep and respiratory physician to confirm Medical rebate approval.

Note on Accuracy

Since this is an unsupervised test, there's a chance a sensor becomes dislodged overnight. However, when used with the right pre-test preparation, this is unlikely and is an effective and reliable diagnostic method for obstructive sleep apnoea.
