What does ‘holistic approach’ mean?
A holistic approach means looking beyond just bedtime habits. It involves understanding how your brain and body sleep, daily routines, stress levels, even your mindset can impact your sleep. It’s about addressing the root causes of your sleep problems, not just the symptoms.
Think of it as assembling a puzzle. Each piece represents a different element of your life that affects your sleep. When all the pieces fit together—your physical health, mental well-being, environment, and lifestyle—you create a complete picture of good sleep.
How does POD do it?
A key component of this approach is working with experts who understand sleep from multiple angles. The team at Place of Dreams have extensive experience in the world of sleep. They bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise, crafting a plan that’s specific to you.
For example, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is a powerful tool used by our team at Place of Dreams. It addresses the negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to insomnia. But a holistic approach to sleep health doesn’t stop there. It also integrates relaxation techniques, stress management strategies, physical interventions and assessments, tailoring a plan to meet your needs.
