At Place of Dreams, we are dedicated to your long-term care and support. We typically follow up with patients after six months, and annually thereafter to ensure good compliance, verify the ongoing efficacy of the device in controlling your sleep disordered breathing, and ensure your device, components and mask are all in good order.

You are also welcome to arrange additional appointments if you require additional support, or to trial new masks or new equipment. These review appointments may be done at your request, or in conjunction with your sleep physician depending on your model of care.

Four-week trial that includes:

  • New patients - 60 minutes
  • Existing patients - 30 minutes

Please ensure when attending this appointment, you bring your device, all of your components and mask with you. This will help our team review all your equipment and therapy ensuring you have a thorough review.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need to come to my therapy review?

Your CPAP device is just like a car. After you have used it for a certain number of hours it needs to be “serviced”. We recommend at least once a year. This ensures your device is working correctly, your therapy is meeting compliance requirement’s and your medical team is up to date with your sleep apnea therapy.

For some people, if their CPAP therapy is not meeting compliance requirements, they are at risk of impacting their employment, workplace safety requirements driver’s license, or insurance. This is a risk not worth taking.
